A quick post this morning as I’m heading off down to Brighton to finalise a few things for the Photo Walk this coming Saturday [Link]; really excited to see that every one of the 35 spaces has now been filled too
Now, anyone that knows me will be well aware of my love for Superhero movies. As a kid I remember wearing a red balaclava and mirror glasses, climbing up trees, on the garage roof and wherever else I could pretending to be Spiderman…but that’s probably far more information than I should have given you
I find these kind of movies and also anything with a mystical/fantasy/dark overtone such as Underworld incredibly inspiring for my own project shoots and edits; the recent shoot with Mehmet Edip definitely had the Underworld and Blade movie influence:
Anyway, talking of Superheroes and all that kind of stuff, on Monday I saw this superb Behind The Scenes (B.T.S.) video posted on FStoppers website (definitely one to check on a regular basis) giving a look into the making of the new Batman movie: The Dark Knight Rises.
When it comes to inspiration this movie is going to blow my mind but also one thing I really like the sound of from watching the video is that many of the stunts and special effects in the film were actually shot ‘In Camera’…Now where have I heard that before?
Right must dash as I’ve a train to catch so have a great day and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow,
