Watch ‘The Grid’ LIVE on your iPad and iPhone (#thegridlive)

Hi Folks.
I’ve got a photo shoot with Soul R&B Singer Byron Gold [Link] and B.T.S (Behind The Scenes) posts to share with you on the blog in the next day or so but for today I just wanted to let you know about something Brad Moore [Link] (@bmoorevisuals) helped me out with yesterday…

Now I love ‘The Grid‘ [Link]: The Weekly ‘Live’ talk-show about Photography, Photoshop & other industry-related topics hosted by Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski, and truth be told everything, well nearly everything, has to stop so I can catch it each Wednesday, but here’s the thing…

Last night I ended up being out later than expected so there was no way I was going to be able to catch the ‘Live’ show on my computer at home so I thought I’d give the Skyfire App on my iPad a go to see if it actually worked. Well I can tell you now that it didn’t and not just for me as I was aware of other folks posting messages on Twitter who were unable to watch the show on their iPhones and iPads too.

Brad Moore to the Rescue…
Anyway before putting my iPad back into my bag I thought I’d send out a message on Twitter to see if anyone knew of another Web Browser App that might work and within minutes Brad Moore (@bmoorevisuals) replied recommending I give the ‘Puffin’Web Browser‘ App a run; So…I did and get this…it worked; Flash content playing on my iPad!

The ‘Live’ stream worked faultlessly on the wireless broadband I’d hooked up to but even better than that, on 3G the show was just about watchable and the audio streamed without a hitch!

So in closing, a HUGE thanks to Brad Moore [Link] for the recommendation and of course the Puffin Web Browser App is now on the  Highly Recommended list:)
