Hey Folks,

Well what a whirlwind of a few days that was; amongst other things being in the London TV studio on Friday for Adobe Creative Week Live followed by a day in Brighton on Saturday for the Photo Walk.

Today I thought I’d give you a look at what went on during Friday’s Adobe Creative Week plus links to where you can catch up on all the great content that came out throughout the 5 days.

Adobe Creative Week
Friday, the 5th and final day of Creative Week was discussing Photography & Imaging; a day packed full of Challenges, Live Debate, How To demonstrations, Insights and so much more…

The day kicked off at midday, and then at 12.10pm it was time for the Live Debate which was also being aired Live across the internet and in front of a Studio Audience. Along with Presenter/Anchor David McClelland I was on the panel with Photographer Timothy Allen, Creative Consultant Erin Moroney & good friend, Photographer and Adobe UK Digital Imaging Product Manager Richard Curtis; wonderful people and really great fun to hang out with during the day.

The overall debate evolved around the heading of “Is Digital Photography all Tech and no Talent?” and understandably was expected to be the liveliest debate of the week, and it sure didn’t disappoint…right from the very first question which came from a member of the studio audience 🙂

‘How To’ Session
Later in the afternoon I was in the studio for a How To session where I went through how to quickly create backgrounds and composite images using techniques available in Photoshop CS6 plus some Quick-Fire Beauty Retouching and Lighting Effects.

Be sure to check out all the free ‘On Demand’ recordings where you can watch other How To Sessions. Richard Curtis demo’d how to design a book and prepare it for print using the new Book Module in Lightroom 4; I was frantically making notes as he went through it as I’m looking to do exactly that in the near future. Adobe Worldwide Evangelist Julianne Kost’s hour long session is definitely one not to miss, and also take a look at what the in studio challengers (Professional Photographer & Retoucher David Mallows and Student Jenni Hearn) produced with the images they were given…superb!

It sure was great to take part in the very first Adobe UK Creative Week. Huge thanks to everyone involved (too many to mention) for working so hard to make the 5 day event such a huge success; really looking forward to the Wrap Party now that’s for sure 🙂

Have a great Monday folks and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow,
Enjoy,
Glyn 🙂
