Quite excited to have gotten an email through the other day with the final drafts of the Air New Zealand campaign that I recently photographed, so I thought that as I’d shown you the process of photographing them, I’d also show you the final product.
The photographs I took of each Flight Service Manager have now been composited into email templates by Air New Zealand’s Artistic Team so that you can now see what will be going out to customers flying with Air New Zealand. As with most other airlines, a couple of days before flying you receive an email confirming your flight times, flight number and terminal but rather than it being a simple plain text email, from Air New Zealand you get an email such as this:
And when you return, a couple of days later you’ll receive an email like this:
Clearly a considerable amount of planning will be needed but the idea is that the Flight Service Manager appearing in your email will be the very same one that will be on your flight; pretty cool huh?
As well as that, other information in the email such as the flight times etc, will include recommended places to visit, places to eat out, details of their Social Media, Special Offers and so it goes on; so rather than being a standard plain text email customers will get a modern looking and ‘connected’ information sheet.
Right, all I need to do now is to look for an excuse to fly 🙂

Glyn,
Please tell me that you have to fly on location, NZ, LA as well.
Great campaign and good exposure for you.
@Jurgen…I’m working on it Jurgen believe me…lol
Thanks for the kind words; Air NZ are a great company to work with!
Great idea, great photos. Brilliant job Glyn!
@James…Hey thanks alot for the comments; I really appreciate it…cheers 🙂
Very cool indeed mate. Always nice to see the final product 🙂
@Mike…Cheers Mike and yeah I figured it would be good to show the final result to show what all those seemingly peculiar ‘stances’ were all about…lol
You need an excuse to fly? What is it – 24 hours to NZ, a plane with maybe 300 people on board, thats almost 5 minutes per passenger you can bore them with “I took that photo” anecdotes – now that’s got to be worth at least an economy ticket in my book 🙂
Seriously though its been great to see the progression from concept to delivery – cudos for you for delivering it and to Air New Zealand to not be precious and allow this.
Dan
@Dan…Superb!!!! Like your thinking mate 🙂
