Hey Everyone,

For today I’ve recorded a video tutorial for you.

The video is just over 5 minutes long and in it I show a technique for converting your images to Black & White.

There are so many ways that we can do Black & White conversions; techniques within Photoshop, 3rd Party Plug Ins like Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 and so on but my feelings are that it’s ALWAYS good to know more than one technique to kind of do the same thing. There’s no such thing as a 1-Click Fix i.e. what works on one image won’t necessarily work on another so with that in mind here’s another technique to add into your Photoshop Tool Bag.

This particular technique makes use of the Gradient Map Adjustment Layer in Photoshop; a method that’s been around for some time but in the video I show you a few little tweaks you can do making adjustments you might not be aware of.

Hope you like it.

As always if you have any questions or comments then don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or drop me an email to glyn@www.glyndewis.com

Also if you get the urge to share the love and let others know about this video or indeed my YouTube Channel that would be AWESOME!

Have a good one and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow for Episode #16 of my Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom video podcast show.

Enjoy,
Glyn
