Hi Folks,
How’s things?
Well I’m now back home in the UK (for a couple of days anyway) and fully recharged after a fabulous few days in Italy…
Purpose of the trip?…a few days out for some quality time together, R&R (Rest and Recuperation), hanging out with friends, catching some sun…oh and my Birthday too 🙂
We stayed just outside of Lucca, Northern Tuscany with our great friends in their wonderful home [Link] that also has the most amazing views across the mountains and is a total sun trap.
Lucca itself is stunning; a beautiful historic town buzzing with life where the people are so incredibly friendly and of course the food & wine is simply delicious.
Talking of delicious, the first day there we all headed out to a local vineyard called Il Poggio. Wow what a place! I could go on and on but take my word for it..if you’re ever in the area make a visit…you won’t regret it!
Of course as R&R was part of the agenda we also spent time doing nothing but sitting on the terrace lazing in the sun; if I’m honest not something I find comes natural but like most things…a bit of practice and it certainly became easier 🙂
On the way back to the airport during the final day we dropped into Pisa for a quick look around and to get a first look at the famous Leaning Tower; come on…you didn’t think I could leave without doing one of these did you?
So after a short brak away we’re now back home refreshed and settled with another flight coming up in a couple of days to Cologne, Germany for the Photokina; a lot to get done in the mean time though so best I make a move.
Have a great Tuesday and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow for some news including details of a brand new photography focused workshop,
Enjoy,
Glyn
