Today I’ve a new picture to share with you and some Behind the Scenes from a photo shoot a few weeks back now, but one that I’ve only just had time to work on as it’s for part of a personal project that could feature in a new book…
In addition to the book the pictures from this shoot form part of a series I’m putting together with the view to gaining a big new client I’ve been wanting to work with for some time now. I’ll be sure to keep you posted with that and also, for those interested, how I go about approaching potential new clients.
For now though here’s one of the final images inspired by a still I saw from the film ‘Mitty’ and ‘The Grey’ plus footage from a photo shoot by US based Photographer Joey L…
To give you a look behind the scenes so that you can see where we were shooting, the kit we used and how it was placed I’ve included a video below but here too is the kit list:
- Canon 5D MKIII plus 70-200mm f/2.8 lens
- Elinchrom ELC 1000 and Elinchrom 135cm Octa
- Elinchrom D-Lite RX One and 44cm Square Reflector plus Grid
- Grey Paper Background
- TetherTools Cables for tethering to Apple Macbook Pro
Later this week I’ll also be sharing a video showing a part of the retouching that went into the main blizzard picture so be sure to check back in for that.
Finally though a HUGE thanks to everyone that helped out with this shoot:
Models: Brian Dukes (first time in front of the lens as a model so thanks mate), John Ashord and Rachel Sarah
Make Up / Special Effects: Syn Ella
Video: Brian Worley (p4pictures.com)
Catch you next time,
Glyn

Nice one Glyn. Look forward to the retouching video.
Seems like you could have snapped your beard off, Brian.
