Hey Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by.

Just wanted to give you a heads up about the next issue of Practical Photoshop magazine which is due to hit the shelves any day now.

In January’s issue I’ve written a step by step tutorial and also recorded a video going through everything that went into my recent SKINFULL picture:

In the tutorial I take you through exactly how our model Glenn was retouched and then extracted from his original background. PLUS I show you the steps that went into the gun barrel/tunnel including how the texture was created, and mixture of different lighting effects.

Of course I’ve also included the steps that went into making the rifling effect which you may have seen over on my YouTube page already:

With the magazine there’s a CD provided which has the video tutorial on it and also all the image files you’ll need if you want to work through the retouch as well; if you do then be sure to give me a shout…I’d love to see the results you come up with. Oh and if you get the digital version, then you’ll find a link to download the files too.

You can check out the Practical Photoshop Magazine website here [Link]

Hope you like the tutorial.

Right that’s all from me for today so have a good start to the week and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow,
Enjoy,
Glyn

Can’t wait for the issue release.

Glyn is a real gent. Based on his recommendation, I bought the most recent digital version of Practical Photoshop magazine.
    Wow! This publication is exceptional.
The cover price is a touch steep at first, but once you see the content and quality. It’s a steal. Throw in the instructional videos WITH the project files, you can’t go wrong.
As a paid user of Kelby Training and Lynda.com, the stuff Practical Photoshop magazine is producing is a far better value.

Back in September you talked about an ebook on selections/cutouts. Any news on that? Maybe I missed it?

Paul, the ebook has been slightly delayed due to all the travel that’s come up over the past few months. I’m working on it now though so shouldn’t be much longer.

      Cheers,
      Glyn

    Hi Glyn,
I just bought the magazine just for the 007 tutorial but I am having trouble finding the images I need. A link is provided, but it takes med to a “404 Not Found” page. any chance you can provide the images?

    Thanks for a great tutorial!
