Hey Everyone

Thanks for dropping in.

Well what a fantastic weekend…

Kicking off with my Photo Walk down in sunny…actually make that very sunny Brighton and then some time out relaxing at home on the Sunday…Perfect!

BRIGHTON PHOTO WALK
Thanks so much to everyone who came along to the Brighton Photo Walk; some of whom had travelled considerable distance too.

I travelled down early morning with my Buddy Brian Worley aka Mr Canon and when there met up with Dave for a slap up breakfast at “Bills” ; I tell you if you’re ever down that way I really recommend checking out “Bills” … great food and a great atmosphere. It’s quite a big place but at 10.30am there were no seats left and people were queuing out the door!

I’d organised a number of competitions throughout the walk including a photo hunt and also uploading your best Brighton photo and Street Portrait. Prizes were on offer including my Full Length Downloadable Tutorials, Gel Filters donated by Lee Filters and a VAL Spigot donated and designed by attendee Ian Pack.

brighton_socialThe day just couldn’t have been better; blazing hot sun and a really great group of people.

It felt like we raced around the walk and all then got together sitting on the beach and socialising which to be honest is the reason I love organising these Photo Walks; it’s great to catch up, share ideas and experiences etc…

It’s always interesting to see what kit folk bring with them on these walks too and this time more than ever I was taken aback with how many people had mirror-less cameras such as the Fuji X-T1 and Olympus OM-1.

I took along my Fuji X-T1 which was a dream to carry and shoot with. I’ve only had it a short while and each time I’m so impressed.

The picture below is one I took just to test out the focus tracking and well…yeah to say I’m pleased with the results is an understatement!

brighton_seagullFolks have already started uploading their pictures from the day to the Flickr page that I created which you can check out here but yesterday I spotted the image below from Lee Gorecki who came along and took the shot at the end of the walk…

I’m sat here kicking myself wishing I’d walked down to the location with him because I absolutely love it so way to go Lee!

Check out more of Lee’s work over on his website here [Link]

Well fingers crossed the great weather continues as with days like this I’ll most definitely be organising another social in the near future.

Oh one more thing…I’ll be announcing the winners of the day’s competitions in a few days once everyone has had the chance to upload them.

Right that’s all from me so have a good one and I’ll catch you back here next time.

Enjoy,
Glyn

That was a great day, wish I’d taken more photos, but I have to say I love the group shots with our Tundra.
Amazing weather, fantastic people, what more could you ask. Thanks for organising mate.

The Pier shot is fantastic – sad to see that’s all that’s left of it though. What a shame.
