Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend.

Actually it’s a Bank Holiday here in the UK making it a long weekend so that makes it doubly good right 🙂

Ok so today I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came along to my Brighton Photo Walk on Saturday; we had a great turnout of folks from all over with some travelling several hours to get there which was fantastic!

Of course what would a Bank Holiday weekend be without rain and geez did it rain 🙂

I got down to Brighton nice and early and met up with some friends Chris Fields and Kevin Sharpe for breakfast and it was then that the heavens opened, however thankfully stopped and dried up before meeting everyone at the entrance to the Brighton Pier.

We headed off along the sea front and then dived into the famous Lanes and actually managed a good hour and half or so before you guessed it…the heavens opened again. So, it was then off into a local bar where we all hustled into a large corner and chatted.

In fact this is what’s so good about these Photo Walk…the social side.. They should really be called Photo Socials + Walk because it’s the time you spend chatting with folks that so beneficial. There were tips being shared, people talking about their camera clubs and gaining new members, future shoots being organised and so it goes on…

As for photos being taken, I think I ended up taking about half a dozen and of course seeing as we were by the sea side I couldn’t resist the deck chair shot; yeah it’s been done more times than you’ve had hot dinners but hey it’s fun to play and that’s why we do it right?!?

Ok that’s all from me for today so have a great start to the week and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow.

Enjoy,
Glyn

I think I may have 2 or 3 keepers, not bad from about 20 shots.
Good day all round though, met some nice people, had fun, got wet inside and out, talked endlessly about photography, perfect. 🙂

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Glyn for organising and attending this, at no financial gain to himself he left Oxford at 6.30am and spent the whole day with like minded people, we all had a great day, I met up with Glyn and Chris for breakfast and we spoke of photography, iMac’s, Dexter, social media and Breaking Bad to name just a few things, Glyn is a very grounded, sociable, funny, talented man who is more than happy to pass on his knowledge to anyone who is keen to learn.
If you get chance to go on one of his workshops, photo walks, talks then do go, not only will you learn loads, you will end up with a new friend who’s always more than happy to help out with your photoshop needs.
Glyn even went out of his way to drop me to my car at the end of the day, thanks again mate, it was a great day and I met some new friends and got to talk lots of photography! oh yes, I even took a few photos too!!
Looking forward to the next time 🙂
