I’m currently in Normandy, France for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.

I’ll add a post once back to give you an idea of some of what’s been going on but as I type this it’s now 1.40am on the 6th June and I’ve just returned from Pegasus Bridge where at 00:21am, 75 years ago a unit of glider infantry of the 2nd Battalion, the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, British 6th Airborne Division, commanded by Major John Howard, landed, took the bridge intact and held it until relieved. The successful taking of the bridges played an important role in limiting the effectiveness of a German counter-attack in the days and weeks following the Normandy invasion.

Today, Loxley Colour have published an article on their company blog where I was interviewed about my World War 2 Portrait Project, titled “D-Day: 75 Years on with Glyn Dewis”
