Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post today as it’s full on busy here at Photoshop World, Atlanta and I’m up in just a few hours to teach my next class; 8.15am for Creating your First Composite.

Today I’d normally be posting a new episode of my weekly podcast / show but with all that’s going on I’ve not been able however I’ll be recording 2 new episodes once I’m back home this coming weekend.

Anyway today I taught my Dramatic Portraits with the Invisible Black Background so I as a follow up I thought I’d post the walk through video I recorded some time back as a reminder of this simple but really effective technique.

Thanks to everyone who came along to the class and especially a HUGE thank you to my friend and incredible Photographer and fellow Instructor Joel Grimes who came along to my class and was a great sport for being my model when demonstrating the technique…

Here’s the video I recorded showing how to create dramatic portraits using the Invisible Black Background technique…

Right, must dash…need to grab some sleep before day 3 of Photoshop World.

Catch you later,
Glyn

Great reminder of this technique Glyn; I had forgotten how easy you make it look. So this time, I intend to have a go at actually trying it out rather than trying to commit it to memory.

    Cheers

Hello Glyn, I loved the video and the tutorial, just a question… what size of umbrella I need to do this? does the size matters?
    Thanks
