Lamborghini: New Picture PLUS Behind the Scenes

Ok so for the last post of this week I thought I’d share a new picture with; this time of a Lamborghini Super car…

Not normally the kind of subject matter you’d see me photographing but I took this during my Two Day Intensive Course a few weekends back. On day 2 we headed out to a farm owned by a friend of mine that just happens to have a disused runway within the land; a location I’ve used before when photographing an Aston Martin.

Below is a still from some video footage shot by my Buddy Brian Worley, and you can see here that I photographed the car in natural light on a day when there was plenty of cloud cover with the sun making an appearance every few minutes. As the car was photographed in natural light, there’s nothing more I can say about the set up to be honest other than shoot from low down

Ordinarily when I go into a shoot I have a clear idea of exactly what I want the final image to look like and indeed that was the same in this case. However, when I worked on the files during post production, the outdoor setting just didn’t have the impact I wanted for the car. So, I decided to go a completely different route and actually cut the car from it’s original background and make it look as though it was photographed in a showroom/studio setting…

Doing so was a whole load of fun so I’ll be looking at recording the whole process as a full length tutorial.

In the mean time though a large print has been ordered and I’ll be delivering that to the owner as a thank you for bringing the car along for the afternoon; you can’t beat a print right?!?! 🙂

As always if you have any questions/comments please do make use of the comments section below, but in the mean time go have a fantastic weekend and I’ll catch you back here in a few days.

Enjoy
