Hope you’ve had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend 🙂
As it’s Friday I have a few news type things to let you know about including more details about the Netherlands Workshop where I’m teaming up with Fashion Photographer Frank Doorhof, Adobe’s Creative Week and Practical Photoshop Magazine, so let’s go…
NetherLands Workshop with Frank Doorhof
Ok so here’s the promo poster for the Netherlands Workshop where I’ll be teaming up with Fashion Photographer and fellow Photoshop World Instructor Frank Doorhof; huge thanks to my Buddy Dave Clayton for the design work 🙂
Tickets for each of the workshop dates are priced at €235 for each day (26th & 27th) but in addition to this Frank is also teaching a workshop in English on the Saturday 25th (€199); here’ what Frank posted over on his Google+ Page:
I will team up with Glyn for two amazing workshops on the 26th and 27th of August in our studio in Emmeloord (the Netherlands). Glyn will show you a lot of tips and tricks to create stunning new pieces for your portfolio and I will chimp in of course with tips and tricks on shooting it.
The workshops are flexible meaning you can ask whatever you want and if we can answer (and that chance is rather big) we will.
Also the 25th I will be teaching a “solo” workshop in English with loads of information about using the light meter, color checkers, coaching the model, adding motion to a shot to make a better fashion shot, working with creative backgrounds, using direction of light, creating stunning fashion shots with 1-2 lights and much much more. and Glyn will be sitting in the back throwing peanuts 🙂
This is including a small lunch and as much as you can drink.
Book quickly, we are now officially starting the promotion and the workshops are already half full.
We are working on a hotel deal and restaurant for the evenings, so for more information mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
The model for the 26-27th will be +MC Nadine stephan one of the best stylists and models I know, so this will absolutely rock!!!
Adobe Creative Week
It’s not long now until the Adobe Creative Week LIVE here in the UK; a week packed full of Content, Discussions, How To’s, Giveaways and a whole lot more!!!
Creative Week runs from Monday 9th July – Friday 13th July with each and every day concentrating on a different arena of creativity from Video, Web, Design, Publishing, Photography, Digital Imaging…
Friday 13th is Photography and Imaging day when I’ll be in the London Studios on the panel for the LIVE Debate where the topic which is destined to stir up some discussion will be:
“Knowledge of aperture, exposure and light settings is often considered an art form to be cherished, over auto-settings and quick fixes with all the work done in post-production. But in an age when everything is becoming digitalised, should traditional photographers be ready to embrace image manipulation?”
Later in the day I’ll also be in the studio for a ‘How To’ session track going through some Retouching and Compositing techniques, tips and tricks using Photoshop CS6.
Check out the Creative Week website [Link] for more details, to register and take a look all the other things that will be going on with folks such as Adobe Worldwide Evangelist Julianne Kost, Digital Artist Steve Caplin and loads more…

Practical Photoshop Magazine
And finally I just wanted to let you know that my first article with Practical Photoshop Magazine has now hit the shelves:
It’s been great to receive positive feedback from folks who have already seen the article and watched the accompanying video tutorial. One thing I completely overlooked was the fact that the magazine is also available on the iPad which means the video is embedded too; thanks to my friend Mark Imhof in Switzerland who gave me a shout 🙂
Thanks to the folks over at Practical Photoshop for doing such a great job with the magazine and digital version; it’s superb to be working with you.
Right that’s all for now so whatever you have planned this weekend have a great one and I’ll see you in a few days. Of course, if you’re joining me in London tomorrow for the Live Shoot & Retouch Seminar [Link] I’ll see you there; milk and no sugar thanks 🙂
