Hey Folks,

Episode 5 of my video podcast show is now online!

In this episode I answer a retouching question I’ve been asked many times and that is “How do you create that Cartoon/ Painted kind of look to your pictures?”

Well it’s actually a 2 part technique that I originally learned from German Retoucher Calvin Hollywood and have since added an extra step to suit my own style of images. A lot of folks have asked if it’s a special plug in I use but I’m happy to say it’s not…it’s a technique that makes use of a filter that’s been in Photoshop for quite some time now 🙂

Also in this episode my friend Serge Ramelli; a superb Landscape Photographer from Paris, France drops in with a Lightroom tutorial giving an example of how he retouches one of his images AND I show you where you a great way to find and use textures in your pictures for FREE all from within Photoshop.

Hope you like it and of course if you feel the urge to spread the love and let folks you know all about it then that would be great 🙂

Have a great Wednesday and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow.
Enjoy,
Glyn

    Hi Glynn

Have you tried Calvin’s other painterly technique now which instead of using reduce noise, uses the CS6 oil paint filter, a slightly different look, but still very nice.
