Hi All,
Well as promised here’s the 1st video in a 3 part series showing how I went about making the ‘Run for Alfie’ poster a few weeks back.

Because of the challenges we faced during the initial shoot there were a number of differences between the two photographs (focal lengths and exposures) and it’s these two issues that we deal with first of all.

One of the techniques you’ll see I make use of is ‘Auto Blend Layers’; a life saver of a utility found in the EDIT menu within Photoshop and that helped to save me heaps of time in blending the skies between the two separate photographs:

See you next time for Part 2 when we’ll be dropping in a whole new sky by making use of selections, Alpha Masks and Blend Modes but in the mean time, as always if you have any questions or comments then please feel free to make use of the comments section below,

Enjoy 🙂

Cool tutorial Glyn, just curious what do you use to record your screen activity?

Hi Tim. I’m using ScreenFlow which is a Mac based App; nice and simple to use mate 🙂
