PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL: How to Create Dust, Debris and Explosions

Hi Everyone

As it’s Thursday this means a new episode of my weekly Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom Podcast / Show is now Online!!!

This week I go through a technique showing how you can create flying dust & debris similar to what you see in a lot of movie posters these days where there’s a lot of action and drama in the pictures; kind of like it’s come from an explosion or something similar.

This particular technique makes use of some special brushes (available to download for FREE) and the main effect comes from adding varying amounts of blur to the ‘debris’ so as to give the illusion of depth and almost 3D look.
