Hey Everyone,

Just to let you know that Episode 42 of my weekly Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom podcast / show is now online!

This week I give you a sneak peek at a new picture I’m working on and show how I go about creating Sun Beams using just one layer; it’s nice and quick but a great way to add realistic looking sun beams coming through the clouds.

Hope you like it 🙂

Excellent tutorial Glyn. I really like the clear explanation and the thinking behind the choice of technique you choose. Also, adding those bits of how to tweak the techniques by diving into the sub menus are a real bonus. You really do get under the hood to show us things we perhaps have never even come across before.

Having seen the final picture on 500PX I hope you do some more tutorials and show us how you created the rain too.

    Cheers mate,

    Dave

Thank you for another grand tutorial Glyn. I used it to create beams from an imaginary off screen streetlight and loved the effect

Keep up educating us all !
