Hey Folks,

Today I have a new episode of my weekly Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom Podcast / Show for you.

This week I show you how to make perfect cut outs when having photographed your subject on a Green / Blue screen; commonly known as Chromakey.

This is a technique widely used in the movie industry and with advances in Digital Photography is being used more and more in compositing. Over the coming weeks I’m going to be experimenting more and more with this technique photographing on location and in the studio but for now I thought I’d show you what you can do in Photoshop with regards to making the cut outs / selections.

Photographing on green / blue such as this does create a few extra steps such as having to remove the colour that reflects back onto the subject but all in all the fix is still quite quick.

Enjoy 🙂
