Hi Everyone,

Today I just wanted to give you the ‘heads up’ about an article I have coming out in the next issue (Issue 16) of Practical Photoshop Magazine

When it comes to creating composite images there are many things we need to consider and make good for the final image to work. Sometimes you may find yourself looking at an image and thinking…”Looks great but there’s something about it that just isn’t right..but I can’t put my finger on it”

There’s a multitude of reasons as to why the composite doesn’t quite look right and they’ll range from:

  • Poor cut-out/extraction
  • Contrast between the Foreground and Background not being right
  • Shadows on the floor either not matching up or making it look as though the subject is floating

and so the list goes on….

In Issue 16 of Practical Photoshop Magazine I’ve put together a short tutorial following a question submitted by a reader, showing how you can quickly and easily resolve one of the common problems when putting together composite images…matching the colour between the foreground and background elements.

Of all the questions I get relating to retouching I’d say this is definitely one of, if not the most asked How To’s; the great thing is the fix is incredibly quick and incredibly easy!

I’ve just received my copy through the post and Issue 16 is due to hit the shelves any day now,
Hope you like it,
Glyn 🙂
