Hi Folks,

Today I thought I’d give you the heads up about a couple of magazine articles Ive written and that will be published in the next few weeks.

Practical Photoshop
The first article is in Practical Photoshop (March issue) and will be on the shelves very soon.

For this I’ve written a complete walk through showing all the retouching steps of my Spriggan Mist Band image.

There’s lots covered including how to turn a day scene into a night/late evening scene, lighting effects and more plus I how how to make a selection of the sky including areas between all the leaves on the trees.

I’ve also recorded a video tutorial going through the retouch and explaining all the steps as well as including the necessary files so you can follow along too.

Pictures Magazine
The second article is for German Photograph / Photoshop Magazine Pictures and in this tutorial I cover everything that went into my Shadow Dancer picture.

The difference with this article is that as well as the key retouching steps, the main focus (no pun intended) is on the the lighting, covering the what, how and why, plus how using Moodboards and Pinterest played their part.

I’ll keep you posted as to when this is being released but I understand from the publishers that its going to print today and will also be out very shortly.

Right that’s all from me; taking a break today to spend some quality time with Mrs D having been away for the past week.

So, whatever you’re up to have a good one and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow,
Enjoy,
Glyn
