Be My Guest at Photoshop World 2016 in Las Vegas…
I can’t even begin to put into words how much of a positive impact attending my first Photoshop World had on me back in September of 2006.
I’d recently joined the N.A.P.P. (National Association of Photoshop Professionals), now KelbyOne, and was hearing and reading a lot about this huge conference in the USA; a full on 4 day Photoshop Love Fest. So, on complete and utter blind faith I paid for my ticket, booked my flights and headed out to Las Vegas; my very first time to the USA and on my own.
I didn’t know what to expect other than it was going to be big and yeah was a little apprehensive about being there on my own. However, those feelings very quickly subsided no sooner had I arrived and was in line to register. I was greeted by a great guy who became a very dear friend, Todd Mills, who is sadly no longer with us. Todd was the best of hosts, we met so many other folks, attended so many classes over the 4 days and went to all the social events that were laid on for attendees too; we totally immersed ourselves and had a blast!
Who’d have thought that learning could be so much fun? Attending classes by some of the best in the business; people like Scott Kelby, Bert Monroy, Ben Willmore, Deke McLelland and many more was incredible but even more so was the time they all gave to attendees during the 4 days. Quite unlike anything I’d been to previously, it seemed like every corner you turned you’d see one of the instructors chatting with groups, and not just quick chats but real quality time.
Fast forward to 2012 and I received the call from Scott Kelby for me to now become one of the Instructors at Photoshop World; an honour I still have to pinch myself about to be teaching amongst my industry and life heroes such as Scott Kelby himself, Joel Grimes, Joe McNally, Bert Monroy, Ben Willmore, Alan Hess, Dave Black, Jeremy Cowart, Corey Barker and so on… But more so than that, being able to call these folks friends is more than I could have ever wished for but proves beyond any doubt that it’s not just the learning but the association, networking and friendships you build at Photoshop World that make such a difference…it really is a unique experience.

This is an amazing offer Glyn! Thanks you so much. I have been following you for a couple of years and have your Photoshop Wirkbook where I have learned tons about compositing and have improved my own work immensely. I’d love the chance to attend. Your positive attitude about life and getting out there and doing things is truly inspirational. Keep up the good work! Thanks. Paul Bagley. pbagley@cogeco.ca
Hi Glyn, Thank you for offering such a great opportunity!! I’m a retired senior who picked up a camera 5 years ago and have run with it ever since. It has kept me young. Photography has opened up a whole new world for me & I have made so many wonderful friends. I’ve been privileged to capture action images of Olympic sprinters, elite pro-triathletes, done 3 magazine covers and SWAT police warriors at their various competitions. At the police events is where I met friend Barry Payne. 😉 I have simple gear but through your tutoring, I have been able to pop my images. I’m one of your huge followers. It would be a privilege to attend this conference for since I’m on a budget, I could never go. I would love to give you a hug of thanks!!
Thoroughly enjoyed learning from you last year. Greg.shore@gmail.com
How could I resist such an opportunity?
Spoiler alert: I can’t.
funkkaserne@gmx.net
When I contacted you on Facebook after your book came out to tell you how much I liked it, I expressed the hope that you would be at PSW as an instructor. I’m delighted that Kelby paid attention to our requests. Gerry Slater geslater@comcast.net
What an amazing dream come true! This would be just the ultimate! info@jessicabriggsphotography.com

Would love to come to Vegas and watch your classes at PSW. Thank you for the opportunity! bob_cross10@hotmail.com
Wow. I am retiring on June 2nd from my full time job as an administrative assistant at a college in CA. Where am I moving to? North Las Vegas. I started doing photography as a hobby in 2010 and plan to keep learning and building. Learning never stops and therefore would love to attend. I think my husband would even support me being there on July 21st as it will be our 37th wedding anniversary! He loves landscape photography and I love people and events. Thanks for this opportunity!
Glyn – you’ve earned this … Hard work pays off. Photoshop World is Inspirational … I’d love the opportunity to connect with you guys in Vegas

I got introduced to NAPP 4 years ago and found KelbyOne through them of course… Then found out that there was this place where everyone gets together and learns about all different ways to express your creativeness… I was hooked! I love the people and the instructors. I found you Glyn through Calvin Hollywood on Youtube I believe and you guys were having a free webinar. You guys did a face swap image in Photoshop. I thought that was so cool so I gave it a try and thought nothing of it. 6 months or so passed and I found myself signing up for my first Photoshop World (2013). They asked for a few images to be placed into a contest to win a Guru award for that category. I didn’t think I had anything worthy of winning at the time. I looked at the Retouch category and thought, hmm im going to go against the grain and enter my face swap of my wife and I. The idea I got from Glyn and Calvin from their webinar. Low and behold I was nominated and Won the guru award. There is where I got to meet you for the first time Glyn… Been following your great work and top notch classes ever since. Now I have sense went on to do Photography full time. This was my first year 100% photography and love it! Am I Rich? Well my definition of rich may be different from many others. My definition is being able to do what I love for a living and put food on the table for my family… So yes im filthy RICH! =)

What an awesome opportunity, incredible!
I would absolutely love to be there for several reasons, firstly I would love to take my wonderful, hardworking and supportive wife on a well deserved trip to Las Vegas, somewhere she’s been longing to go for years.
Secondly, I’ve recently been asked by the Rumney Forum, a local community group, to deliver a voluntary ‘basic photography’ course on their behalf, free to local residents. From your enthusiastic description of the Photoshop World Conference I’m sure to pick up some worthwhile knowledge to share with the group. To quote a Texan friend of my brothers “Knowledge is like horseshit, ain’t no good unless you spread it around”.
Also, I feel the whole experience and the confidence gained from the networking opportunities you’ve mentioned; including with your good self, may be enough to change my life also; in so much as giving me the impetus to retire early from the job I love and pursue my passion for photography as a professional.
Finally, I’d love to be there to support Mr Dave ‘Pixar’ Clayton, who’s career is clearly on the ‘up’!
Best regards, Anthony Crothers. tcrothers@sky.com
This would be fantastic !

At the end of June I am 60, the time to fill my bucket list is getting shorter………gary@g-n-p.co.uk
Hmmm, so is this the length I have to go to for you to buy me a beer?

I would love to go. Looks like a great learning experience and a fun time! robinsonphotography@granitewave.com
I have been attending PSW since well I can’t really remember! Have regularly attended in Vegas and have also made it to Atlanta, DC, and Orlando. A photoshop user since PS7 and I love the new CC and the new Kelby site. Each year at PSW I look to see when your sessions as well as Corey’s and Jeremy’s are and then work around them so I can get in “on the good stuff” you guys bring. Sadly, unless you make magic happen, I am going to have to pass on PSW this year. So here is thinking good thoughts and hoping lady luck comes through.
Great! I love PSW and would really like to go again. claylj@gmail.com
I attended my first PSW in 2014 and attended one of your classes Glyn – which was GREAT! I was totally blown away by how great all the people were at the Conference – those attending and those working it and I learned so much – it was almost overwhelming at times. I would love to be able to go this year and would be grateful for the free pass. Thanks for making the offer! jccondruk@outlook.com
Thanks so much for the chance. judy@judyriggs.com
Thanks for giving all these people a chance to go to photoshop world.
What a wonderful idea, Glyn.
I have always wanted to go to PSW but never quite made the leap.
I would be honoured to attend as your guest.
Many thanks Vernon.

Hey Glyn – I originally wasn’t going to go this year, but saw they have a pre-con on dog photography. Gotta go now! And of course, to see you again too 🙂
Planning on making my entrance to fine art photography this autumn. Your training has been invaluable and Photoshop World would be invaluable as well. mklinepier@gmail.com

Why would I want to go to Las Vegas? I mean I live in Portsmouth for goodness sake! Why would I want to go to the Worlds Largest Conference on Photoshop etc.? I already have Photoshop…….I’ve read your book…….What could I possibly get out of it? I suppose it could be a bit of a laugh meeting You and your mate Dave and pick up a few tricks (err …Photoshop tricks that is.) So go on, just to help you out, chuck my name in the hat…nicolbruce@yahoo.co.uk

Wow! I was fortunate enough to see you at PSW2014, and it would be an honor to be your guest sir!
hagan.charles@outlook.com
I would love to go to PSW!
I have never been to PSW even though I try to be as supportive to the Photoshop and Photography community as I can possibly be.
I have always had jobs I had to work on, or money had been slow at the time, so I could not afford to go to Photoshop World.
Would be a dream come true!
imagebliss@gmail.com
Glyn you know I would follow you to PSW in a heart beat. I have taken your classes before and all I can say is AWESOME!!!!! I would LOVE TO BE YOUR GUEST AND TAKE MORE OF YOUR CLASSES. See you in Vegas! Donna Kirby dkirby11@aol.com Thank you for making this possible for some lucky person
I am teaching photography at a middle school and i would love to attend photopshop world in las vegas!!!!. My students are not interested in anything other than a cell phone, so I would love to be able to give them some new perspective on how there are endless possibilities to being creative. hamptonsu@missouri.edu
I love your books, very detailed and straightforward. I’m retired and starting my new phase of life as a Photographer. Lightroom and Photoshop have helped me expend my craft further by not only improving my photos, but letting my imagination soar. Please pick me!
Wow! How amazing that would be! Love your book and tutorials. I’ve already learned to much from you, thanks so much.
dianewerks@gmail.com
Glyn, you have the expertise and presentation style that make you a first-rate teacher, and the PSW experience is much richer for your participation in it. I know because I have been in your classes before. I’m looking forward to a great conference this year and hoping I’ll see you there!
I actually dream about photoshop…. love it passionately. I have my port packed already haha … Vegas is only a hop skip and a jump from Australia. Cheers!
As an accountant I get brushed with being boring yet it is through my love of photography that I have learnt to live beyond this and that photography is an art and one where your imagination and skill can take you anywhere your mind wants to go. There are no boundaries and this hobby has helped develop my day job successfully as through the power of my visual creations they see how i can help them creatively with their business too. Yet this skill was only developed by learning from those I aspire to be like, like yourself. It is through your passion and the willingness to freely give your time and help through talks and blogs and YouTube that ordinary people like me recognise that creativity is within us all. I would therefore love to be,surrounded by more people with this passion in Las Vegas and be a sponge to learn more.
Would love to go to PSW!
Please, please, please! Dean.fry@live.com
This would be a DREAM COME TRUE! Thank you Glyn for all you do! You are such an AWESOME INSPIRATION! 🙂 tricia @ reddirtalley@gmail.com
Glyn, It will be great seeing you again in Vegas. It was a pleasure to

It would be an honor, a blast, and a life changer to attend this conference as your guest. I cannot cover the rest of the associated expenses at this time so do not need to be entered into the pool, but I wanted to thank you deeply for this opportunity you are offering. Very generous. {online17 at coulterlifephotography dot com}
It would be very exciting and helpful to get the opportunity to experience the conference and learn from presenters from whom I have learned so much already, to spend more time with Glyn (in person), and to learn from those to whom I have yet to be introduced.
twmerritt@hotmail.com
This would be a tremendous opportunity to go to Photoshop World and be Glyn’s guest! Thanks for the opportunity.
I’m such a HUGE lover of Photoshop, having used it since I was 16. Now I’m 27 and that passion for the software has never left me. I work in the Retouch / Photography industry, however, I never stop learning. Photoshop World has been and always will be a dream to attend, although I’ve never been, I know I can call it a second home. I’ve attended The Photography Show, here in the UK, 3 times and every time I go I feel apart of the community, I know that will happen when I attend PSW. Having met you a couple of times, I’d love to attend as your guest and learn more about Photoshop. I’ve watched your KelbyOne classes but to see a class in person would be a real treat – AND Dave’s class too! That is going to be insane. Thanks for giving us this opportunity, I have fingers, toes and everything crossed. Thank you, Glyn! – fran@francescahughes.com
I so want to do this, I’m sure it would make a huge step change in my Photoshop skills – to go as your guest would be the icing on the cake. No, that’s not right. You ARE the cake and Photoshop would be the icing on the cake. I’m sure there’s an image there to be created 😉
Thanks for giving us this opportunity Glyn. Top man as always. cliff@baughen.co.uk
Would love to attend. Your sessions last year were excellent. 2015 was the first year i was able to have my 16 yr old son with me. It really was a special conference. the45guy@yahoo.com
You’re the best!
I find all of your instruction videos informative .Your tip sheets in particular

Greetings Glyn, I attended one of your workshops back in 2014, where you demonstrated “Dramatic Portraits with Invisible Black Background”. It is a technique I have used ever since, especially outdoors. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge. Warmest Regards, John.
johnrice@dcamphoto.com
Here’s hoping, thanks for the chance Glyn. Brianj@ntlworld.com
photobydarcy1@gmail.com – just making the switch to full time pro and would LOVE the opportunity to learn from the best… whilst in great company too 😉
I am so looking forward to returning to my third year after a year break due to the timing of the conference last year. I will never forget your first year as an instructor (my first year to attend) where I listened to your story and literally cried right there where I sat. It gave me hope that in this huge photography community you can find a group of people that are your people. I am still trying to settle into that and find my people and after attending some other conferences photoshop world is where I belong to create more true relationships with “my people”. You, Dave Black, Corey and Matt have been instrumental to my education. What a generous offer you have made. Thanks Glyn!
bkmoton@gmail.com
¡Hola Glyn! I first came to know about you from your ‘Invisible Black Background’ Youtube video about 2 years ago and since then your book, tips, and website have been a great resource for me. Thank you for doing what you do and for offering this great opportunity to join you at this conference – would be truly amazing to be there and learn from such an inspiration.
mambi74@gmail.com
I remember using Photoshop when there were no layers, doing it all in channels. It would be brilliant to attend with you. When I am not being a photographer/designer my time is spent riding/repairing classic scooters of the 1950-60.

Meet you at Photoshop World in Las Vegas in 2014 and had the pleasure to chat with you one on one for a half hour or more in the bar at Mandalay Bay…very awesome experience that was for me. I would love the chance to spend time with you in person again. Thanks Glyn!!!
chad@chaderlandphotography.com
Glyn, it was a pleasure to meet you (and Dave) at PSW a couple of years ago. I wasn’t planning on attending this year, but getting to meet you again would be great! JSwarce@verizon.net
Hi Glyn, I have attended PSW in Vegas for the last 5 years in a row! Being your guest would make my 1st year as a VIP even more extra special!

Would love to go this year as I missed in 2015. Thanks for all you do Glyn.

I have been learning Photoshop and the journey never ends. I would love to increase my knowledge by attending the Conference as a guest.
I will fly out from AUSTRALIA just to join you. Probably even shout you a beer and show you how to throw a boomerang as well. So much awesome huh? clint@demongroup.com.au
Hi Glyn, My name is Patti Reed. I’m 59 yrs old and I had a camera in my hand since I was about 4 or 5. My dad had a portrait studio and I learned from a very young age. I started up my own studio with my husband when I was 23. We were very successful for 20 some yrs until September 11 2001. We had an amazing hotel account that closed 1 month to the day after that terrible day. We lost just about everything and then moved to Florida to start over. After arriving in Florida my husband told me to get a waitress job (which I had never done) because we were done with photography. Photography was all I knew and I was devastated! At that time the digital age was coming on fast and I didn’t have the money to invest in any equipment, so I continued to shoot with my film cameras after my day job because photography was and is my PASSION. Long story short, we ended up getting divorced after 38 yrs of marriage. Recently my daughter Mandy and I have teamed up and started our new photography business! We are using digital cameras and all my old strobes from my old studio. The transition to digital for me has been challenging but I am confidant with my lighting and posing. However, I do not know hardly anything on light room and photoshop. I would love to win the tickets because learning editing the proper way would be awesome and I believe it will take our business to the next level! Your photography is amazing and if we can become half as talented as you that would be incredible! Thank you for your consideration. I’m sure whoever wins these passes will be blessed. Godspeed! patti.kakes@hotmail.com
Hello Glyn, thank you for such a great opportunity.
Hi Glyn, first off thank you for such a great opportunity whoever gets selected they’ll be in for a treat! I have to admit that as a newbie to all things photoshop I thoroughly enjoy the blogs, tutorials and YouTube videos you create with so much useful content. But being immersed at PhotoshopWorld with the industry pros and the classes and content is an all new level of awesome. I know I have the ideas of what I’d like to create but having the skills to carve them out and bring them into world is what PhotoshopWorld would encourage and hopefully put me on the path to deliver. Good luck everybody! Garyps4@hotmail.co.uk
Hi Glyn, I’ve just been reading the Photoshop World schedule – so many great instructors under one roof . If I”m the lucky winner , I will definitely be attending your photoshop lighting effects class, even though it starts at 8.30am ! tara.sarkar@live.co.uk
I’ve been following your work for a while now, and would love the opportunity to meet you and learn from the best.
Too many Thanks For Great Post
