Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend.

To kick the week off I’ve a short video to share with you which, if you’re in the market for a new tripod might be useful.

You see every now and again I’m very fortunate that various companies send me products and software to try out and review.

Recently, Vanguard sent me one of their tripods to put through it’s paces and record a short video review for. I’ve been on the hunt for the ideal travel tripod for some time now and when I was told that this particular one, the Vanguard ABEO Pro 283CGH was made of Carbon Fibre I was pretty excited…especially as at the time it was just before I was flying out  to the the USA and Germany.

Anyway, long story short I didn’t end up taking the tripod with me and you’ll see in the video why that was. Don’t get me wrong, the tripod is actually a very well built, sturdy piece of kit BUT not, I feel, suitable for the kind of work I do.

Let me explain…

My thanks to Vanguard for sending out the tripod which like I said in the video is a great piece of kit but like with everything, great when used by the right person in the right circumstances.

Hope that was useful folks but hey I’m still on the look out for a tripod that’s light, I can fit a ball head onto, will shrink down to fit in my travel suitcase and I can strap to my camera bag when walking around; any suggestions?

Have a great Monday and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow for another image where you can look through the layers 🙂
