Hi Folks

Hope you had a great weekend.

I ended up in Chester spending time with my buddy Jonathan Thompson (Food Photographer) and popped over to Wales to take some background pictures for a new magazine article I’m working on.

I’ll let you know more about that as soon as I have more to share but for today I wanted to show you a new addition to my animals project…

The picture is made up from a total of 7 images with the scene (apart from the Acacia Tree) consisting of photographs all taken locally to where I live, and for the retouching I’m kind of experimenting with placing different blurs to give the animals an almost 3D feel as if they’re coming out of the picture.

The rhino in this picture is actually the same one that features on the front cover of my new book; a different photograph and pose but taken during the same visit to Whipsnade Wildlife Park here in the UK.

I guess the idea here was that on the front of the book we see the Rhino with his Oxpecker friend looking like they’ve been on the move for a long time searching for water, and as the book is finally released, they find what they were after 🙂

Anyway, hope you like it and as always if you have any questions/comments feel free to make use of the comments section below or email me to glyn@www.glyndewis.com

Oh one more thing, for this weeks Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom Show episode I’ll be showing you how the water was created and how the muddy river bank was added in, so be sure to look out for that this coming Wednesday.

Have a good one and I’ll catch you back here next time.

Enjoy,
Glyn
