Hey Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by.

I thought I’d finish this weeks blog posts off with a short video tutorial / tip that I recorded last night about using the Pen Tool in Photoshop.

Without doubt the Pen Tool is THE best tool to use when making selections of objects that have straight lines and curves…basically anything and everything except for things like hair and so on; there really is nothing better in my opinion for razor sharp, accurate selections.

Now with that being said, despite it being so good it does come with a bit of a reputation for causing frustration and maybe being a little intimidating to the point that some folks would avoid using it; I know I did when I first encountered it.

Anyway, in this short video I want to show you a little tip / technique that if you’ve avoided it in the past, will hopefully encourage you to start making use of this superb tool and soon begin to love it!

Hope you like it…

Thanks Glyn – just what I needed to know. The tip you include is invaluable I had driven my self crackers trying to get curves using those little axis points.

Really well done Gyln. I may give the pen another go after seeing this. I shy away from it as you said, as I loose my work on trying to fix errors.. Thanks

Thanks for that. I’ve been searching for a simple and clear intro to the Pen tool, nowhere has anyone mentioned using the Ctrl key to re-shape a curve before. Great!
