Hey Folks,

How’s it going?

Today I’ve something for you if you’d like to know how I retouch my Character Portraits

The other day I mentioned briefly about an article I have coming out in the next issue of Practical Photoshop Magazine which hits the shelves on the 30th of this month. The 7 page article, which is my first for the magazine, covers every step of the retouching process that went into my ‘Editor‘ picture:

Every part of the retouch is explained step by step covering:

  • Eyes (Whitening, Colouring and Adding Punch)
  • Whitening Teeth
  • Techniques for adding detail, dimension and texture
  • Dodging and Burning
  • Adding in the Background
  • The Cartoon Look

Plus as an added extra I show you how to make an unlit cigar look as if it’s alight and being smoked; see Photoshop is even good for your health too 🙂

In addition to the 7 page article I also recorded the whole process as a video tutorial which will be included on a FREE CD with the magazine and at the end of the article there’s details too about how you can win a FREE space at my next day long studio based Photography & Photoshop Workshop on Saturday 21st July.

I’m chuffed to bits with how the article has come out; the folks at Practical Photoshop have done a superb job of putting it all together and I’m really excited to be working closer with magazine now and am already working on articles for future issues. On that note if there’s anything you’d really like to see: any pictures or specific techniques then drop me an email [Link] and we’ll work it out 🙂

Have a great day and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow,
Enjoy,
Glyn 🙂
