Just in case you missed it, last night I hosted a YouTube LIVE Broadcast over on my YouTube Channel.

Fresh back from Adobe MAX there were a couple of updates released in Photoshop CC 2018 that I wanted to cover showing how making selections is getting easier and easier.

The updates I covered were:

  • The NEW Curvature Pen Tool
  • Enhancements to Select and Mask
  • Match Font (unrelated to selections but a damn cool feature I couldn’t resist showing)

You can check out the video below and if you look in the description section of the video over on YouTube you’ll find a link so that you can download the file I use in the Select and Mask Tutorial.

Oh and if you haven’t yet Subscribed / Liked the YouTube Channel, I’d really appreciate it 🙂

Hey Glyn, I was in your session at Max, what was that technique you used to make the wooded area look snowed upon again? Could be helpful in a project I’m working on right now.

Jesse…Click on the this link that will take you to the Adobe MAX website. Once there scroll down to the SESSIONS ON DEMAND section then look for ILLUSTRATION AND CREATIVE IMAGING tab. The session I did is in there and you’ll be able to see the snow forest scene tutorial again.

      Hope this helps

    Hi Glyn,
Slowly working my way through all your videos, and rather a lot of rose’!
I just tried the selection technique on a fur coat and woolie hat and the result was rubbish, so tried again on something with sharper outlines and although it selected it well I noticed that around the black areas, on close inspection, there was the faintest white halo, which bugged me, can I do something to improve or avoid this?
