I’m heading to West Wales for an evening printing masterclass with Carmarthen Camera Centre, on Friday the 20th November 2026 at Zion Chapel in Carmarthen.

Printing is the subject of my latest book, How to Print, so it’s something I could happily bang on about all evening, and this time I’ve got three hours to do it. There are only 15 places too, so it’ll be a nice small group.

What we’ll be covering

If you’ve ever struggled with printing, this is the evening to get it sorted. I’ll take you through the whole process step by step and in simple terms, so you go home knowing how to get the results you want from screen to print.

We’ll start with calibrating your screen, because if what you’re seeing on screen isn’t accurate, everything after that is guesswork. From there we’ll look at preparing your image for print, including resizing and soft proofing, which is a way of previewing on screen how your image will look on your chosen paper. We’ll also make sense of the printing terminology and get into paper choice, and more besides.

Bring your own images along

You’re invited to bring your own images for printing on the night, so you’ll walk away with prints of your own, which is a lovely way to round things off.
