Photographing Long Exposure Seascape at Sandymouth, Cornwall

Conditions were absolutely perfect for some long exposure photography, and wow, what a stunning location!

We arrived around 5pm with the high tide expected at 5.20pm, and had to wait maybe an hour or so before some of the hidden rock formations became visible. This gave us plenty of time to set up kit and think about where we would position ourselves; this being made a lot easier from Doug having been there before.

Why did I not think of this?

Had a message from someone that had enrolled in my New Photoshop Lighting Effects Course saying that they were Hard of Hearing and asking if there were subtitles / captions they could turn on to help them.

There weren't. I'd completely missed doing that, BUT I'm glad to say I’ve now added them in.

Paid and sent all the video content to Rev who have manually transcribed each one and

LOVED THIS!

So good to be back on the He Shoots, He Draws Podcast, but this time no longer as a Co-Host but as a Guest.

Great chatting with my friends and hosts of the podcast, Dave Clayton and Alan Hess about everything I've been up to in an effort to keep creative since the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic…

From building and photographing Airfix Models to photographing surfers whilst being in the water with my camera inches above the waves...oh, and small thing like selling our house and relocating.

You could be helping someone and never know it

You could be helping someone and never know it

Thanks to this wonderful, creative industry I've met some incredible people and made some incredible, life long friends.

There's also many friends I've never met because of sharing content and social media, and today I received an email from one such person; a truly delightful man from the USA.

Reading his email it reminds me yet again why I do what I do and that no matter how I may feel at times (I'm only human) I'll continue doing what I love and sharing with others because for some, as crazy as it may sound, it might be the one thing they look forward to and helps

VIDEO REPLAY: Photoshop Lighting Effects YouTube LIVE

VIDEO REPLAY: Photoshop Lighting Effects YouTube LIVE

Last Friday (13th August) at 8pm I hosted a LIVE Broadcast over on my YouTube Channel going through a couple of Photoshop Lighting Effects Tutorial PLUS a workaround for the Colour Grading technique I shared for anyone who doesn’t use Adobe Premiere Pro.

The broadcast ran for about 35 / 40 minutes or so and felt great to be back online, seeing and interacting with everyone in the chat.

The set up I use for the LIVE Broadcasts is so good in that amongst many other things, I’m able to bring comments up onto the screen which makes it so much more interactive.

Anyway, if you weren’t able to catch it LIVE, here’s a REPLAY where I’ve also

Why I moved my website to SquareSpace

If you’re reading this it means you’re on my new website so I hope you find it, a) easy to navigate b) responsive and c) that it looks good.

So, before I get into this I wanted to let you know that at the time of writing I’m not, in anyway, sponsored, affiliated or connected with SquareSpace. The reason/s I’ve made the move and feel compelled to let you know are purely personal because I figure if you’re really pleased with a product or service, then you should let others know.

With that said, here’s a little bit of history…

History

For a number of years, in fact pretty much ever since I started out, my main website had
